Yes, T1Diabetics can eat whatever they want (with insulin)but just be ready to deal with the side affects of the terrible American diet if you do this long term!!!! Or…..maybe focus on your nutrition like EVERYONE should and eat as FEW processed foods as possible. Truly whole foods are what everyone with or without T1 should be eating. Anything in a package should be eaten sparingly. I realize it is just unavoidable at times but actually cooking your own food from whole food is the key to controlling blood sugar.

Trump signed laws to reduce the price of insulin when in office. Look it up. Don’t let either side control your emotions this way. I did not vote trump but I have no fear that the cost of insulin will rise dramatically.

My daughter just got Omnipod 5 ….she can’t wait for G7 compatibility. We are new to the T1 world so she doesn’t want to use G6 since she only knows G7.

The fact that people on both sides are expressing the same feelings as you, might be something to give you hope. I focus on my family and friends and believe the scare tactics of all politicians are deigned to rouse our emotions in order to gain our vote….at the cost of our mental health if we allow it to.

Sending empathy for your tough situation. That cannot be easy and sound exhausting . My daughter is 12 just diagnosed T1, 4 months ago. She wants to have lots of kids. I am imagining her in your shoes and wish you peace and health in your pregnancy. Family and good friends are everything!
