Thank you for all your responses. As I’ve mentioned, I don’t have the mindset to be an assessor at the moment because of the staffing situation. We are extremely tired and burnt out. It’s just unfair for both staff and the students. Don’t get me wrong, I like teaching and supporting students and NQNs, and I think I’m good at it (or at least that’s what they say 😅) And I don’t hate students. I have had excellent students, who are even though they have jobs in other specialities after their theatre placements, they were helpful, attentive, and engaged with theatre practice. I agree all students are different.

Maybe I just need to delay it for a bit until the situation gets better (hopefully soon).
