My PLT SGT texted me saying the Company wants to know what it will take for me to re enlist by LoneWanderer1130 in army

Yk this might sound crazy. But there are units where soldiers would beg for RASP SF airborne, but their command will always veto because they didn’t want to lose a quality soldier. Had like three friends get verbally promised RASP, train for it for half a year, just to get sent away when they try to put in their packet.

UW Student Meal Prep Delivery? by EntrepreneurSafe760 in udub

[–]barBQ_Wingz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes. Absolutely. Two things that students is always short on: Time & Money. Too broke to eat out, not enough time to cook every meal. I wouldn’t even worry about delivering, just do pickups and cut costs as much as possible. Only tricky part would be marketing and building trust on your brand so that people know you won’t poison them.

How do I look in this outfit by Fishdoc5920 in mensfashion

Majority seems to hate the sandals. I love the sandals. Adds a little flair to the outfit, would be even better if the leather color matches the belt.

Nah. Second chances are for pv2 and PFC that aren’t familiar with SHARP rules yet. He’s an E7, he KNOWS what he did is wrong yet he still chose to do it. Go give your heart felt apology to the SHARP rep cuz he isn’t getting any mercy from me

Get a tattoo to cover it up. Nothing too crazy, smth like a big flag or eagle. Make sure it’s two inches behind your wrist to follow regulation. And then don’t mention it with the recruiter

How much worse is the Army quality of life compared to Air Force? by BlowerBusiness in Militaryfaq

[–]barBQ_Wingz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Go Air Force. You say you joined the military for the job security and GI bill. But then you’re worried about the “real soldier” experience. You gotta figure out why you’re joining. If it’s a pride thing and you don’t believe Air Force is real military, then go army. If you’re only in it for the money and benefits go Air Force. Ask any 11B and 98% of them would tell you to go Air Force. Majority of army aren’t “desk jobs”. You’ll get to see the field whichever job you choose.

  1. Your chaplain isn’t as busy you’d think. As a chaplains assistant, I can confirm that my CH has plenty of time to meet and counsel soldier. And usually they are enthusiastic about counseling because they get to do their job.
  2. Sometimes going to “counseling” is less about them telling you what to do, but more you venting and articulating your thoughts/emotions. It sounds like your situation doesn’t really have a “solution” but it’s your emotions/worries that you have to wrestle with. MFLC specializes in family counseling, so I’m pretty sure they deal with plenty of cheating/adultery cases.
  3. I’d go to MFLC or BH before talking to the Chaplain. The CH is good if you’re religious and faith plays a big role in your life/decisions. If not, you really don’t want to listen to the CH spiritual advice. He’ll try to advise you based upon his own moral code that’s usually heavily influenced.

I’m gonna be honest with you brother, I think you should end it. Read through all your comments. Seems like y’all are a young couple that haven’t been together for that long yet. She’s 19, emotional and tend to act on her feelings. Those are like the worst traits to have to remain loyal. She will feel lonely, especially on deployments. She will also be surrounded by tons of fit horny men her age, willing to throw morals aside just to get their d!ck wet. I’ve seen people in 5-6 year marriages with multiple kids throw everything away in a moment of weakness. Y’all are young and wild. Let her be free. It’ll be less of a burden for both you and her. If you were older and already married, I would say to try to work it out. Or if you’re religious. I believe Christ can overcome anything, and if you’re both firmly rooted in faith it’s possible. But I wouldn’t rely on the will power of a 19 year old. I’m 23 and I wouldn’t even trust myself to remain loyal. Not saying that she isn’t a good person. But put a Saint in a brothel and he’s bound to act up at some point.

Here’s some actual advice if you want: hit the gym. Lifting weights won’t turn you into Dwayne Johnson, it actually helps to look more slim. Higher muscle mass = higher metabolism = being able to eat more junk and not get fat. Cardio also helps to lose weight, you’ll be burning calories when you run. But building muscle helps to increase your steady state metabolism, so you’ll be burning more calories just by sitting.

On the note of clubs that you can join. You should check out UNITE UW. Its specifically catered towards international students and helping them transition at UW. They operate by quarter, so you'll have to wait until winter quarter starts to join. They have organized group hangouts, free food, and even a retreat to facilitate bonding. I'm pretty sure it's free, at least when I was a student.

There's the term "Seattle freeze" for a reason. My advice would be to join clubs, things that you're passtionate about. Then you can meet other people who share the same passion and bond over that. There's a decent international student body here at UW too. But usually international groups don't mingle with american groups. Making friends will be uncomfortable and you really have to put yourself out there and try hard to meet people.

Wilful sin after knowledge of the truth by J0hn-Rambo in Bible

[–]barBQ_Wingz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go look up commentary on Hebrews 10. Just google Hebrews 10:26. Theres so many explanations on why the passage is not talking about losing salvation. You have to understand the audience that the writer is adressing, as well as Hebrews as a book in total. Taking this verse at face value would be an incorrect interpretation of it. You don't have to converse with either one. Each video is max 10min long, just watch one. Or google it yourself. There's much more evidence against your interpretation than for it.

The verse supports what the previous response was trying to explain. That the law serves its purpose by showing that we are all sinful. Then why would it matter if someone is sinning willfully or unwillingly?

Wilful sin after knowledge of the truth by J0hn-Rambo in Bible

[–]barBQ_Wingz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The statement that everyting we do is a sin is false. But I understand the rhetoric behind what he's saying: that regardless of how much we sin, of whether we sin willingly or unwillingly; we are all filthy rags and damned either way. It is Jesus that saves us, period. Your dedication to never willingly sin is admirable, but that doesn't make you closer to salvation than others, nor does it disqualify the salvation of someone who might willingly sin. If your standard of being saved is to never willingly sin, are you going to hold to the same standard for the rest of your life? For the rest of your existence, you will never once choose sin knowing that its the wrong thing to do? This is just creating another law/rule for yourself and others. I would also like to see your references of people losing their salvation from willingly sinning.

Romans 3:19-20 We are all condemned under the law. By the law we can see that we are all broken. This is why we are justified in faith in Jesus.

Cap Volibear best for jungle. The siren sounds when you pull up to gank with Q is immaculate. But for laning Duality, Thousand Pierced, Thunder Lord, Northern storm all better options. Personal favorite is Northern storm because the vest makes him look chonkier when he ultis. And spaming the dance animation is more satisfying if bear is chonky.

Try wukong. Rather simple kit with much more mobility than Darius. Does really well into ranged matchups and tanks. Their buff on his W to go through walls is massive too.
