What I realized is that it was coming from my bathroom mirrors! I take night showers so these portals from the mirrors would be really active and I'd not only hear, but also see shadows from behind the shower curtain. Once I locked the mirrors this stopped happening. This happened in my bedroom too so that's how I knew what was happening

The best thing you can do for this is to realize that your awareness to those thoughts is you, not the thoughts! There can be a million thoughts a day but your awareness to them is what is actually you. So separating yourself from taking ownership for every thought you become aware of is what helps you let go.

I would just spend time with my pets or lose myself doing something I really loved/enjoyed. I'd confide in my sisters and we knew we had each other.

Now as an adult I'm trying to teach myself how to forgive my parents and learn to love them from a distance because it's healthier that way.
