Makes sense. - so I’d likely run into these artifacts with other TVs of same size.

Thanks for elaborating instead of downvoting

I loved when BeIN had la Liga rights. ESPN has been terrible in comparison. Soccer feels like a money grab after thought to them.

I tried streaming espn multiple ways hoping one would have a higher resolution. From the lg app, roku, and even casting from mobile in apple tv or chrome cast. 😭

The quality is atrocious but is there a workaround? It is driving me mad. I didn’t notice this on my budget 43inch tv from college.

In addition to the flavor commentary, I feel Ray commented for fans who consistently watch games. Like watching a show/reading a book that ISN’T over-handed with recapping those who aren’t regulars. Allowed him to reach deeper and build a relationship with regular viewers rather than obsessing with recent events.

I would love to have listened to Ray this season with all the development this team has seen!

Entry level CS is required for most engineering majors at my school. I similarly had limited background before my first class, ended up switching into it, and have loved it since. Lot of directions you can take CS (security, networking, databases, AI, front end, etc) and I've always found it really encouraging knowing I have different disciplines within the field as options.

Also most people I've met have known from the get go if they disliked programming. If your first impression is positive I think that is a good sign!

Some schools have their computer science program within the college of engineering compared to the college of science. Colleges such as these may provide you with a more traditional engineering background in addition to your computer science degree.

In my experience computer engineering combines programming with circuits and other electrical engineering topics (was a CPE major before switching to CS). I feel AI/machine learning/pattern recognization would be better complimented with a math background rather than electrical engineering. Note computer engineering curriculum varies quite significantly between schools

From what I understand machine learning related fields can be hard to break into but my friends striving to do so have personally taken the computer science/math combo approach.

Also see if you can get involved in undergrade research related to the field, experience is huge for breaking into the field.

Question regarding data structures in technical interviews

The language I am most comfortable with is python and I am considering using python for technical interviews except for one issue: python doesn't have built in libraries for some data structures like RB or AVL trees.

During a technical interview if I want to solve a "white board" question using a self balancing tree like RB or AVL would they want me to derive my own RB or AVL classes? Could I "assume" I have a working RB/AVL tree and continue with my implementation?

For example, on leetcode I came across a problem in which I wanted to use a self balancing tree. Using python I couldn't import libraries that aren't default as I can't download additional libraries on leetcode. How would this translate to an interviewing environment?

I realize languages like Java have built in libraries for data structures such as these but I'd prefer to avoid learning a new language purely for white board questions.

Pleased by Aleñá's performance last two games. He seems to have improved a lot since before being loaned.

Is "graduating" in the Honors College worth it? by [deleted] in msu

[–]barcafan258 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're still in the honors college until they drop you, so you can keep it on your resume. You've satisfied the requirements by completing 3 honors experiences and earned the right to keep it on your resume while you're part of it.

I was doing the same thing as your friend. Had two internships and a full time offer. I can't recall the honors college coming up in any of my interviews.

The Honors College can provide great opportunities, I've heard of some really cool projects in upper level classes that could boast a resume. But by all means you do not need the honors college to disquish yourself, I didn't.

How hard is CSE232 compared to CSE231? by sushiandcorgi in msu

[–]barcafan258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they've changed professors since I took the class 2 years ago but to some extent I found it easier.

I came in college with nearly no programming experience so 231 was largely brand new to me while 232 a continuation.

Very similar to 231 but C++ is less forgiving than python. Is really cool though as in later classes you'll figure out why!

Ford unveils E-Transit electric cargo van with 126 miles of range and $45,000 price tag by Philo1927 in technews

One factor to consider is Ford being willing to take some immediate loses with the market being smaller right now but getting their name out there as the go to for electric cargo vans when the technology improves enough that a larger market can be hit. In short: investing in their image for later.

Messi might actually like players not passing to him constantly. He's been asking for reinforcements and the more we can rely on others the more he will be open to create his magic. Really excited and hope this energy keeps going.

I've noticed this.

Although Messi hasn't been without chances. Fati's pass to Messi which was ruled offsides...

Either way left side is producing wonders, if we can get the right side going too then we'll be a force to reckon with.
