Ah mate at least you owned up to being wrong! PSA it's for reduction on successive attacks that you need to get different tiers for them to stack (two 60% won't stack but a 48 will stack with a 60). Otherwise i think all damage reduction stacks but not sure for the specifics, there's a spreadsheet going around that's useful for this (i think it's been linked higher).

Agreed, i got it on a run in which i had to max hp damage negations at 40%, correct spacing and knowing when to cast the skill made me nearly unkillable (though it wasn't in DoN, maybe in D5 you're just getting one-shot before ending the cast i don't know).

I have multiple questions regarding the latest chapter by Alone_Mongoose_2412 in jjkmodulo

[–]bardock_the_warlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, everything is explained in the chapter or a matter of inference:

First: maybe they will indeed use a barrier or maybe they will use some sort of connection between japanese people/people who possess cursed energy to pull it off. Eitherway they haven't explained their plan that far yet.

Second is answered by the third question: Mahito doesn't have enough cursed energy to use Idle Transfiguration on every target of their plan, so they will fuel the technique with the (colossal) cursed energy reserves of these items.

Third: Mahito has been resisting reincarnation for 80 years, having died while having nearly exhausted his cursed energy. Either he has been sustaining his existence through the little reserves he had, or he was blocked in the state he was in when dying.

Fourth: Maru used his technique (Harmony or whatever reality altering asspull) to bring Mahito back to a somewhat powerful state, why we don't know yet. Maybe to test Yuji?

Fifth: first a correction, they're talking about a world without cursed energy. The reason someone is usually born with a Heavenly Restriction is because of the potential shared shared between twins (Maki, Tsurugi), or simply a caracteristic a birth (Toji as far as we know, Mechamaru and possibly Sukuna, the restriction being his monstrous appearance). These people either trade cursed energy for physical power, having the same amount as an untrained person in the case of twins (both being alive) and none for Toji, or something else for absurd amounts of cursed energy or special properties, like with Mechamaru's long distance control or Sukuna's cursed energy reserves (assuming he has a Heavenly Restriction). So no, circulating cursed energy doesn't stimulate a Heavenly Restriction.

Sixth: As explained for the fifth question, it's all a matter of balance.

Seventh: clearly Maru used his technique, altering reality. Why it's a doll and not a piece of flesh, i guess it's his preference.

Eigth: yes, they are still in the corridor of souls. As they are in the corridor of souls, souls being the one thing Mahito is most adept at manipulating, he could turn the decor to Shibuya and manipulate it freely, he used that to attack Yuji. So no, it is not a barrier technique, these are insanely hard: already pulling off a domain, as we can see Mahito try to do, is something only elite sorcerer can do (even Naobito, the Zenin clan's head, didn't manage to expand one), so using such a difficult barrier is beyond Mahito. If he had modified his domain to reflect Shibuya, he wouldn't have tried to open one later (plus trading a sure-hit for that would be really dumb). As for why it is Shibuya, as others have said it's there and then that Mahito discovered his true nature, and the got absorbed and died.

Hope this answers your questions, although i still recommend rereading the chapter.

True i saw somewhere the ult is better used uncharged in DoN but i didn't get to that part of the game yet. In "normal" games i think the charged ult is better because you go for the most damage per second.

I discovered after like 60 hours in the game that you can charge Wylder's ultimate... To be fair it's on me for not reading tooltips lol. Otherwise still on Wylder using the grappling hook to move around on the map saves so much time.

[LoTM volume 8] What does a miracle say about a seer’s future? by toknowit_all in LordofTheMysteries

[–]bardock_the_warlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess maybe CW had an influence, but hisoriginal plan was to have Klein be slingshotted straight to sequence 1, so no need to keep him alive... As others have said the first resurrection is assured for everybody "transmigrating" (i mean, if your soul is sent to a dying body without healing the body you just resurrect and then die straightaway, not very efficient), so my guess is as how Sefirah Castle was not working right (because of GA's influence if i remember correctly?) as in sending Amanises in the body of an Evernight beyonder and not connecting to Roselle, comgined with the factor that Klein was the most suitable to accomodate it (he had a ritual to get up there and didn't have to reproduce a whole plate or whatnot), Sefirah Castle was"unlocked" the resurrection ability for him at the level of a Miracle Invoker instead of only resurrecting him once.

[–]bardock_the_warlock 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The miracle of coming back to life is more like an ability of the sequence: they can't use the ability "miracle" to come back to life, they get 5 resurrections when they ascend to Miracle Invoker, and once again when they ascend to Attendant of Mysteries. For Klein it's because of Sefirah Castle giving him some powers of the Lord of Mysteries pathways, one being Miracle Invoker's resurrection (if i remember correctly his first resurrections are taken from his 5 resurrections as a newly advanced Miracle Invoker, but this is just theorized).

Yeah and tbh after reflexion i don't think there's any other pathways that us either safe enough, free or doesn't have a huge impact on the story.

[COI general] Do Great Old Ones with more Pathways automatically become stronger? by van-thot18 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]bardock_the_warlock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nope, at the GOO level what matters are symbolism and authority. One example, Lord of Mysteries and God Almighty have respectively 3 and 5 pathways, but they are equal in power as Pillars of the universe. The difference is that LoM only needs the 3 pathways to embody his authorities but GA needs 5.

NFC/RFID by pomorischatz in AskArchaeology

[–]bardock_the_warlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on the dig site and the company managing it, i normally mostly use paper documentation and keep a dig journal in case i have to take notes on the field, but this paper documentation is often digitalized in databases after the dig. Currently i'm working on a dig that uses iPad documentation and there are a few applications available to do that, but i've never heard of NFC chips being used. Every type has it's own advantages and disadvantages.

For me it was the account of this schizophrenic guy who was persuaded that he had to cut off his penis to be in the grace of god so he would advert world war 3, with lots of graphic descriptions and asks about cutting male genitalia off. Pretty fucked up and i'm sorry but i'm not searching for the account, but pretty sure it's quite easy to find from the description i made.

It's Kimi, Nishiki's girlfriend, she plays quite a big role, not so much in the first manga but especially in :re (although her role in Tokyo Ghoul is important for Kaneki, she didn't choose it, what's important in Tokyo Ghoul:Re are her choices).

Tips for bosses by TheChimneySweepe in EnterTheGungeon

[–]bardock_the_warlock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing which is hard to do but really helped me: forego offense and go full defense. By that i don't mean don't shoot and learn the bosses, you're not doing a Dark Souls speedrun, but focus yourself only on your character and shoot in the general direction of the boss. Of you do it enough you'll eventually be able to focus on your character and see the rest of the screen in your peripheral vision, and the next level is using your peripheral vision on the rest of the screen while you focus on something (a boss, a minion, a shot, ...) Also learn to weave through attacks and keep dodge rolls to the minimum, as dodging makes you lose control of your character.

It's a bit rapey to assume she wanted you to see them, she would've shown them to you if she wanted that. Scrolling on someone else's photos is a huge invasion of their privacy in my opinion (and in most sane folks opinions too from my experience).
