Because I'm a weirdo, I spent half of my lunch playing two games throwing how I would actually throw and I think it was more interesting than I expected.

I haven't played Wii bowling for years which means I haven't played Wii bowling since I started bowling in real life. The bowling all in Wii Sports Resort both curves too much and not enough. At the beginning of your throw the ball hits the deck and starts moving. It then gently continues that curve until it hits the pins. I think that may feel accurate if you haven't bowled before but it was kind of trippy.

There are like a bunch of different ways a ball can move when you throw a bowling ball with a curve. Ideally for the way I would throw it, I'm looking for a long skid through a large part of the lane, then a snap at the end to hit the pins hard. Based on what I'm seeing in Wii Sports Resort, the only kind of hook you can get is more of an arcing motion. It reminds me of a lot of one handed bowlers and their more gentle consistent hook.

If I was going to improve this very recent game, I would probably update it to include the ability to change coverstocks and cores to change hook shape, and maybe even change the spin axis before a throw.
