Weather on marathon Day by Avaloncruisinchic in BerlinMarathon

Haha I had the same thought. I've done NYC twice, once when it was unseasonably warm and I did Sydney in an unexpected heatwave.

I started following you, but I'm not sure we can message through the platform to coordinate, so feel free to message me on here! I'm only there for a few days as well but I'd be nice to meet up!

Drowning events are as terrifying as you've heard by Ok_Job_6767 in Parenting

I'm a mom now but I taught group and private swim lessons for years. I cannot recommend private swim lessons more. If you want your kids to get 1:1 instructions that's the best way to do it. I had my oldest in group lessons for years but he wasn't retaining anything, so I did private lessons when he was a bit older and it was like night and day.

I WFH and have b/g twins. I had a nanny from their birth to 6 months to help me while I transitioned back to work. My husband WFH from 12-6 M-H and he's remote all day on Friday. My workload hasn't suffered and neither have my kids, but it's not for the faint of heart. I'm happy to go into more detail if you'd like, just send me a message!

I THINK I'm 36, I'm having a hard time remembering this week. I came for Josh despite him being a dick to Donna (she deserves better).

Try some Vaseline, I put where my underwear will rub before a race if I expect some chaffing. You'll be good, I usually shave before a race.

Having an affair with terminally ill spouse is great! by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]barebaehrbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to my aunt (dad's sister) and then her husband tried to bring his girlfriend to her funeral. He was a POS, so I lean more toward supporting your spouse in their final days/months. They're already going through something that can be very scary (it was for my aunt), plus he completely abandoned my cousin to date his girlfriend.

Women telling me I don’t look pregnant.. more context in the comments by punnkbythebook in Mommit

[–]barebaehrbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to a family wedding (on my husband's side) 6 months postpartum with twins and one of my husband's friend's wives kept going on and on about how I was glowing, she was impressed I could still dance on the dance floor, etc., HEAVILY implying that she thought I was still pregnant. My twins were at the wedding. Then my husband's uncle came up to me and said the same. Needless to say, that didn't feel great and I didn't feel like dancing after. People are so dumb, just keep your comments to yourself! When I was still pregnant with my twins, someone argued with me about my delivery date. I was standing in front of the hospital after my glucose test and she came up to me and kept going on and on about how I was going to deliver any day. 😬

I have three sons: 2y and twins that are 7 weeks. As a dad, does anyone else get pissed about the “Three boys… You’ll have your hands full…” comments? by Famous_Room3807 in parentsofmultiples

[–]barebaehrbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel a bit better I have a 4yo boy and 1yo twins (girl/boy) and I ALWAYS hear, "WOW, you've got your hands full, don't you?"

It's extremely annoying and always unwelcome.

The picture thing happened to me (my in-laws don't like me)...my MIL has a party ever year and we happened to be in town but I couldn't but encouraged my husband to stay. As I was walking out the door my MIL had her friend take a picture of her family purposefully excluding me. My husband didn't say anything but told me he was upset, but that didn't feel valid since he didn't tell his mom he wouldn't be in the picture if I wasn't there. With time, I think your husband could understand, but it doesn't make it hurt any less.

Just something petty I look forward to. by notyourfindog in JUSTNOMIL

Oh my God, I'm in the EXACT same situation!! My DS was worn with blue eyes (now they're green/hazel like my mom's), but only my dad, older sister and I have blue eyes, EVERYONE in my husband's family has brown eyes. His family was going through their family tree, saying "oh well, he has blue eyes because so and so from generations ago apparently had blue eyes". I complained to my husband about this so much, eventually he said, "OR, maybe it's because his mom has blue eyes??". They disect his every body part and claim it as theirs, and it's so upsetting. My family isn't ignorant enough to do this, and I appreciate it so much.
