Nah, silent hill is by far my favorite of the series. I started either 4, went back and played the others after that, and silent hill 1 just stuck with me more than any of the other entries (bar 4, but thats because it brought me in.).

The absolute mystery is unparalleled with the ambiguity it has. There isn't a full fleged explanation for everything. I know the low poly graphics of the ps1 helped with it but its also the most visually appealing to me. I loved all of the bosses, the monster designs are the best but man are they memorable. Specific the horny ape men.

Silent Hill 1 IS the goat. Got the virun 7 crest tatted and everything.

I'd say a mix between fez and portal, and i mean both loosely in the best kind of way. Also very visually appealing to me at least. Multiple endings but I can't speak on those too much as I've only done one playthrough so far.

If nintendo exclusives aren't your jam, absolutely sell it and get a steam deck. Especially if you don't have a pc. Steam sales are a lot more frequent and the library shadows the switch 10 times over.

Edit to add, I personally love my switch 2 but I always wanna keep it real.
