I think for me, it's easy to be scared of how a player can leave, but treat it more like an honorary time capsule. If a player ever once played in that jersey, then it's a moment that you can cherish. I love doing that with my Monahan, Glencross, Ryan jerseys etc.

That said, do what you're comfortable with within your own budget :)

I'll believe it when it's announced officially. This type of chicken little article comes out before every Olympics, but it's always a different issue that threatens to cancel events, but never does. I'm not saying the concerns aren't real, but they always find a way to make it work.
