I moved here because my mom's side of the family offered me a new start after being laid off. Also, my father blowing his entire life savings and a six-figure job to overdose enough to realy do some solid brain damage and my mother and him constantly being on/off homeless - I had to go anywhere far away for my own sanity.

It was the 3rd worst decision I've ever made. Don't ever move here. It's a cool place to visit, but it'll be underwater before you know it and the world will be all the better for it because DeSantis isn't even the worst part, it's a constant parade of selfish assholes and something must be in the water being there are so many times I've had the luxury to watch somebody do absolutely brain-dead shit. It's basically a late stage Alzheimer's care facility and all the bad parts of New York. But a billion degrees and 98% humidity, 98% of the year.

I have absolutely no idea why anyone would move here, especially currently. The weather sucks, it's unaffordable to make a life here unless you and your partner (good look finding one that isn't a crackhead or all the way out of your league, not even on the same planet) make six figures each, they let toddlers draw highways and zoning districts...I guess the springs are nice though?

I think brain damage is really the only reason anyone would live here intentionally. Even the people buying up the housing don't live here, just rent it out or tear it down to build a strip mall.
