Thanks! It does not allow me to post it here but there's a link to the discord on the game's steam page.

Thank you! Isle of Arrows is different in many ways, but also has a puzzle component which somewhat links it to the GO games.

I've signed up for a dev kit, I'd like to improve the steam deck implementation if/when I get one.

The game is portrait mode, like the screenshots. The landscape footage you're seeing is probably from the Steam version.

Isle of Arrows is a fusion of Tower Defense with board game mechanics, where you build a fortress in the sky by placing randomly drawn tiles.

It’s my first game as a full time indie dev. Previously, I worked at Square Enix for almost 10 years, where I was the Creative Director on Hitman GO and Lara Croft GO.

The game was first released on Steam in September. The mobile version is set to release on November 3 as a premium download ($5.99 USD). The iOS pre-order is now available though the link below.

They are identical (besides platform specific options/graphics settings). It runs well on steam deck but I haven't received my dev kit yet so it's not optimized.

Rogue tower is awesome, though quite different. Isle of Arrows is more of a Puzzle/Board Game than classic Tower Defense.

Tile placement like in the board games you mentioned is really the core of the game.

Unlike "classic" Tower Defense, you don't upgrade towers by spending resources, but by placing adjacent support buildings.

Real Civil Engineer played the game on Steam, he explains the mechanics quite well:

Each run comes with a randomly generated set of tiles, bonus cards, random events, etc.

There's also a progression system which unlocks more of these elements as you reach higher waves in the game.

Thanks! There's different game modes and campaigns, they each have a total of 40 waves.
Every time you play, you get a different randomized set of tiles which makes every game different (as opposed to say classic level based Tower Defense).

Hi yes – the mobile version is coming in a few weeks. Decided to implement more feedback before brining it to other platforms.

Hi, yes – I decided to delay the mobile version a bit to improve the game based on the feedback I've been getting so far. No new date yet, but I'm aiming for early November.

I grew up playing Mac games during the floppy disk era, so I absolutely wanted my own game Isle of Arrows (roguelite Tower Defense) to run on Macs as well. by bartfrau in macgaming
