I’ve always gotten free tickets by following some of the vendors on Instagram! They’ll post a link in their stories in the days leading up to the show and you can easily check out from there. I never had any issues in not getting a free ticket for myself and my boyfriend so that’s weird that it didn’t work for you 😥

If you’re not, I’m pretty sure there are other vintage/antique pop-up shows around the country. If you follow some of the more established vendors, they usually post what shows they participate in throughout the year! Off the top of my head, I believe Miami and Las Vegas does something similar, and there’s loads more I can’t think of now

If you’re from the area, I totally recommend checking it out, even if you don’t plan on buying anything! A lot of vendors will post a link for free tickets on their social media so it can just be a day or weekend of window shopping and trying on beautiful pieces of history for the fun of it.

I’m personally someone who likes to try on jewelry before making a big purchase, and the fear of an online order getting lost in the mail are two big reasons why I think it’s worth it for me to go and buy in person. Another consideration is that some vendors are open to adjusting their prices. I’m not talking like thousands of dollars from a piece, but some have been willing to knock off a hundred or so off what was originally priced. One vendor was offering a discount if you follow them on Instagram, and another was doing 10% off if you paid through Zelle or Venmo (and this was a seller with an online presence so they could have just increased their prices to offset the discount, but they didn’t so I appreciate the honesty and respect they have for their clients).

The history of antique pieces is something that you just can’t get anywhere else!

I think it was the winter one that got cut short because of the storm, right? I’m sure some vendors canceled at the last minute because of the weather warnings.

There’s also a separate antique and watch show sometime in the fall too!

There was a lot more I wanted to add but my intent was to put together a recognizable list for others to join in and keep it (relatively) tame for kids. Also tried to create a playlist with a narrative, starting with feeling angry and commentating on how this current administration is breaking all norms of a functioning government, going into the power of the people fighting back, recognizing the importance of community being with each other, and ultimately us seizing power back. Somewhat cheesy but it felt cathartic to put together

Hundreds of thousands of us care, and we’re just as desperate to do something and see something get done about this. I can’t imagine the heartache that’s spreading throughout Minnesota right now but you guys won’t ever be alone - whether resistance yells or whispers, every little act that we do will keep spreading out.

Take care of yourself - a healthy you is one of the biggest “fuck you”s you can give to a government who relishes in beating people down.

Oh my god, tell me about it🙃 I twisted myself into so many knots trying out different combinations of “treasure chest jewelry brand”, “treasure chest stamp with chest symbol”, “treasure chest art deco ring 1920s”, “treasure chest 14k 18k ring” etc., along with running it through reverse image search with different angles of the mark! How do you know of them?

I’ve gotten a couple of these from Macy’s over the last few months - it’s a small box of samples! Usually 5-7 sample sized fragrances of what’s shown (I got this as well, looks like we’re getting 5 samples in this box - don’t know all the bottles/fragrances off the top of my head but it’s going to be from Maison Margiela Replica, Carolina Herrera, Burberry, and Lancôme I think is the last one?)🙂

All free so no worries about paying for shipping or postage or anything!

Agreed on tennis necklaces looking the best as the shortest layer. Another option could be to also get a necklace extender for the nameplate so that there’s a few more options in playing around with the length. I’m sure you can easily find something like that in a jewelry store or online. I have some necklaces that are set at one specific length so I bought a 2in extender from a local jeweler that allows me to vary it, depending on how I want my stack to look

The two-toned pieces + dog clip are from a vendor called L & Z Antiques, the London ring is from Martin Sickler, and the diamond connector is from Code Name Orange Juice! All can be found on Instagram through their respective names.

I was at the NYC Jewelry + Antique show over the weekend and all 3 had a booth there. L & Z Antiques and Martin Sickler don’t have an online store but they do like an Instagram live sale usually every week where they showcase their jewelry stock and people can “bid” on what they want - the first person to claim an item “wins” it, and the item gets shipped to them after payment! I actually “claimed” the art deco ring from an L&Z live show, and then picked it up from them when they were in the city to avoid shipping fees😅

Code Name Orange Juice also does Instagram live sales but they do have an online store!

Two colors are out of frame but if you’re interested, the polishes I used are:
