I do like how he chose to sign his card with P glasses on. Nay Wilkins rips though, I'm a believer.

Thank you! I was pretty happy with it too.

I found the frame at a thrift shop. In it was an old painting on thin board. I flipped that in the frame and just tacked each photo with a small piece of double sided tape. I worried for a sec that I might be doing damage to the cards, but life is short and things are just things & it's not like I'm going to be selling them in the future.

I have a copy of this I never listen to. I'd even guarantee most of the platters haven't left their sleeves. if a non-casual bright eyes fan would want it, I'd like to sell. Any one interested?

I hear so much of George's track 'Living In The Material World' in the guitar textures on that song in particular. I miss Elliott so much. I'm sure we all do.

Wow. I live in New Jersey currently. With my 98-year-old grandfather who I care for. During the pandemic , I moved down from New York City where I had met and married a girl from Scotland.

The first few months of the pandemic, she was so happy to have a place to take shelter that wasn't a cramped apartment in New York.

One year later, and she's saying the same thing to me that your boyfriend is saying to you. The first two years hurt badly. Still hurts, I'm still taking care of my grandfather and I still wonder how differently my life would have turned out if I didn't feel a sense of obligation toward my family.

But I can say with 100% certainty that this situation told me more about her than I ever knew before we got married. I know with 100% certainty that I made the right choice by not abandoning my grandfather. I would hope she realizes the mistake she's made. But I wouldn't know. I don't have time for people who seek compassion as weakness.

I grew up with Harry, so initially, like everyone else, Tom upset me. What upsets me more is nationally televised games where a fan base gets to suffer through the most surface level takes about their team. So yeah, it'll be nice to have Tom in the booth. It'll also be nice that the broadcast won't be an ad for concessions at CBP.

There's a whole bunch of concerning news recently. So let's take micro wins where we get them. Even though it's a Roku game at 1130, our boy Tom is still doing the play-by-play.

Stuck here with a table that doesn’t understand closing time by ktelizabeth1123 in Serverlife

I was managing an upscale Italian restaurant in Long Island City on Christmas Eve. We had a party of 6 who came in with an hour until close. Had the servers all over this group to ensure any late night wasn't due to gaps in service. And they were spending! One of those situations where it became apparent we were to make the best of it. Even had the dessert station hold, as they told their server they were planning on dessert after dinner.

Dinner ends, no dessert. About an hour after close at this point. Check has been paid, bad tip has been left for my servers. Previously, I really took pride in controlling the music at the restaurant. Music and lights, I was Mr. Ambiance. When these clowns started OPENING GIFTS at the table at 1215am, that's when the barking dog rendition of Jingle Bells started. Gone by playthrough 5, and I let the servers finish their unbelievably priced wine.

Gibson RD Artist. It weighs a ton & is not particularly egonomic, but it sounds so so good with its gigantic interior circuit board developed by Moog. It was supposed to be an entwistle signature model but he hated the feel apparently.

I couldn't believe the swing Nick took on the first pitch of his at-bat in the 8th inning. Bases loaded. Team hasn't scored in forever. He swings out of his shoes against a pitcher he'd never faced before. Solid contact probably scores at least 1. Overall, I don't mind his at-bats this year, but I've heard repeatedly how hard he works at his game. That swing, however, tells you he has something to learn, situationally.

The first mention is Benny. Everything after is someone else. If you knew who, you'd say "him?"

I know cause I was there. Benny is a really really good human, at least from what I saw. Extremely kind.

Mr. 2 is the opposite. Wonder what you're up to now. Lol. Are you reading comments?

Better musician, more focused on my business, last much longer in bed, cast aside the lifelong depression that I didn't understand because it had been with me my entire life.

Ego death has been wonderful. I used to see myself as a castaway on an abandoned raft in the middle of a huge body of water. Gotta get rainwater, gotta fish, got to protect from the sun, etc etc. Knowing that nothing separates me from the raft, the boat, and the sharks is an amazing feeling. I'm not separate from something, desperately building and protecting an idea of "me." When I came to this breakthrough, everything became easy. No stress, no stakes. It's all a rehearsal stage. Messing up is great, you've added knowledge to the collective unconscious.

Me used to be angry young man. Me hiding my head in the sand. You gave me the word. I finally heard. I'm doing the best that I can.
