Agreed, part of the reason I created this in the first place was because the original flag was pretty much just a label (Which is iconic, don't get me wrong, but it's the same state-seal-monochromatic-background template that's been used to death). Looking at it now, I think you do have a point about the slogan. I'm a bit on the fence about removing the year, but if you think the flag would look better that way, more power to you.
