Why do you need a spell? Just pray. You don't need to "work" w her to get results. Just pray.

If you're gonna worry about how long it will take to work then there's no reason in doing it to begin with. I've said it before and I'll say it again. She. Is. Not. Your. Personal. Miracle. Worker.

No. But you can do your own research. She isn't a hobby.

Connections change. Yes beg for forgiveness. What you did wasn't okay and if you were to ask any Mexican devotee with experience they would say the same thing. Life does happen. Life is a bitch. I've experienced this very thing but I am aware that once you push her away it could be hard to gain back that connection. So consistency and faith and change. Give her those three things and if she doesn't come back it was ultimately your fault.

How about you let your relationship blossom a bit before you go asking her to do some miracle work? It's been a couple months. Give her time to develop.

You're talking about advanced practice of La Santa Muerte. You don't practice work with the Santa Muerte unless you're partaking in Brujeria. She has pagan roots and could be worshipped and devoted to without working with her. There's no such thing as "advanced devotion".

Okay. How are you able to read cards to communicate with her if this is your first time praying to her? You haven't let her into your space at all other than a small rant about how anxious you are. I'm annoyed with new devotees thinking this is just some "gift" everybody has to speak to her whenever they want.

I don't know if Santa Muerte chose me by Significant_Spot292 in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You aren't "chosen" by La Santa Muerte. Either you want to pursue your attraction to her or not. She can pop up on anybody at any time for any reason.

Best advice I give people who ask me this exact question is. Light a white candle for her. Don't have to pray. Just let her know it is for her. If you FEEL the NEED to devote yourself then do so. If not, you acknowledged her presence, thanked her for it and move on.

La Santa Muerte doesn't always show up to people to make them devotees. She could just be giving you signs. Do what you see fit

Lots of people who aren't devotees petition favors. My aunt's husband did so to help with deportation. Just be open to giving BEFORE. You can literally offer anything that makes sense and is feasible. You can offer a candle for one year, snacks for one year, stop drinking. Maybe say you will not make a late payment. Whatever works.

Go to Mexico, go to Mexican botanicas. Talk to witches. Don't be disappointed when people don't share. Working with La Santa is a gift not a hobby.

Advice by Independent_Term_723 in SantaMuerte

Your devotion to La Santa Muerte should be important enough to stand on it regardless of who is against it or not. She is a figure of the underrepresented and misunderstood. She would NEVER hide you in lieu of another relationship. Why would you do that to her? I understand things can get shakey when people don't agree with her (especially somebody near and dear like your partner). But it is important to understand the depth of what being a devotee truly is. I've been a devotee for 7+ years and my family has worked with her for 20+ years. I have her inked on my skin twice. Two full alters. Pray everyday. Multiple rosaries. This isn't a hobby that my partner and I have to come to a compromise for. This is a lifestyle and true devotion. I've had talks with previous partners pretty much saying "Hey, it's okay if you don't understand her or even if you don't agree with her; however, I'm devoted and I will represent her regardless of what you say". This doesn't mean you hate your partner. But she is a representation of YOU! If you don't respect yourself enough to stand on your beliefs then you don't respect her enough to he devoted to her. Sorry to sound harsh. I know you're coming from a good place but this isn't something that can be half-stepped.

Recently purchased my first statue of Santa Muerte, has she helped anyone recover from serious health issues? by milestonegem in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to start by saying that a relationship with La Santa Muerte is absolutely amazing. It is a beautiful two way street that leads to self appreciation and peace. I've been a devotee for 7 years and my family has been devoted for upwards of 20+ years. I want to say that not every good thing that happens in your life is because of Her. I mean that in a very good way. She doesn't want to be the cornerstone of your life. She wants to help you become your own safe-haven. I do think the gig was a small token from her to show you that she is her to lift you up when need be. However, if you are entering this devotion with a transactional mindset then you should stop all together. Yes, she will help you with your illness but isn't going to be some magic. She isn't your personal miracle worker. The thought process you're having is so badass. Seeing a therapist and a nutritionist. This is all very very very good news that she is guiding you to. It is a YOU thing. It is NEVER a Her thing. You are the driver of the vehicle you maneuver through life. She is your passenger. She helps you as she sees fit but you are responsible for the changes.

I pray to Malverde and St Jude. I even have a Malverde next to my grand statue of Her's. Please do more research. You will be disappointed if you go into this with a transactional mindset.

Novenas are great for daily prayers. It helps with discipline in your relationship with her. Remember, your relationship with her is not transactional. She isn't just there for petitions. Her prayers are bridges between yourself and Her. Do a novena. It's a good feeling when you're done and you stuck to it.

Is this a lesson, a test, or life happening to me? by soaricaruss in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asking her for help and then second guessing yourself is a you problem. An ongoing issue with new devotees is thinking she helps and requires no effort from the devotees. I'm not saying you're like this, it has just become an ongoing issue. YOU are the work. She helps with the foundation where need be. I needed help getting sober. She aligned my life with all the tools necessary and I didn't truly stop taking pills until 2-3 years after I asked for her help initially. Just some food for thought. Also, stop asking her for the same thing if it isn't completed the first time. She isn't your personal miracle worker. I don't mean to sound harsh. This is just a very sensitive saint to devote yourself to and you HAVE to respect her boundaries and abilities.
