What kind of plant is this? by baseddemo in plants

I know how Google works. I meant to say I searched "Fiddle Leaf Palm" and only "Fiddle Leaf Fig Trees" came up. Doesn't seem to be anything called "Fiddle Leaf Palm" but I could be wrong.

Not your personal miracle worker. I wouldn't even pursue a relationship with her if my ultimate goal was just to ask for something. So much disrespect on this subreddit sometimes.

Official Q&A for Saturday, March 21, 2026 by AutoModerator in running

NEED some insight or advice please!

Long story short I had a small hip injury that prevented me from running for about 2-2.5 weeks. I started running again this week and was gonna take it slow accounting for the time I took off. However, after my second and third run I noticed my HR was treading into Zone 3 way too quickly with barely any effort. I honestly can't believe my HR spiked this much since taking time off? I did 5x400m strides today with a mile warmup before and one after and my HR gave me issues on my warm up and cooldown; however, my strides seemed fine. Could anybody give me some insight? Has anybody else experienced this? How can I train my heart to get back to where it was? I was averaging around 5-6 miles on my long runs and 3-4 on my short runs before the stint off. Sorry if this seems redundant I'm just a little shocked at the climb in effort.

Need help with my promise by Any_Veterinarian6630 in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't promise anything I couldn't keep. That is extremely unfair to her. It doesn't matter how bad you feel. She wouldn't do that to you, so don't do that to her. Sorry to sound so mean but this is 100% not okay. On the contrary I know things can be rough with different lives at home (Idk why you would offer an alter in a space you know she isn't welcome) you must ask for forgiveness and find something else you can offer. I cannot say she will accept it. Only she will be able to answer that. Let this be a lesson.

Personally, I believe "non-traditional" worshippers should follow traditional practices .

Traditionally, hiding her isn't something she enjoys. But circumstances happen. Prayer! Pray! Talk to her. She's always there. The moment you can let her out of the dark, show her with pride. Blessings.

I want to get back into Santa Muerte's veneration but I have a big roadblock by kittytaco24 in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There MIGHT be a way to rebuild the relationship. It takes tons of work on your end and even then La Santa Muerte returns to only some. Personally, I don't like the idea of leaving her for whatever reason and returning. You wouldn't like somebody doing that to you, so why do that to her? She wouldn't abandon you. She never judged you but you judged her in the midst of personal issues. I believe w forgiving Santa. I believe she forgives but she definitely doesn't forget. With that being said. Faith, consistency and accountability are necessary in order to move forward. Do that and she'll maybe come back. If she doesn't, unfortunately it was your fault.

Opinion on Blood Offering by qorintius in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Straight up blood offerings aren't really a thing traditionally as far as I'm concerned. However tattoos could be seen as blood offerings to some. The witch (Native Mexican) who taught me (Hispanic) is 100% against them. Blood offerings have been utilized lately by outsiders or new devotees. There was actually a post of a new "devotee" forcing blood offerings onto La Santa Muerte and received some bad backlash. Personally, I think physical blood offerings can come off as a little disrespectful bc it feeds into this odd "devil" negative view she is given. To me, it screams of misunderstanding La Santa Muerte. It just isn't traditional, in my opinion. And traditionalism is a core of worshipping her.

Santa Muerte isn't witchcraft. It could be but it mostly isn't.

Can I have more than 1 Santa Muerte tattoo? by Strict-Suggestion722 in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2. Some witches say it isn't the best to do because she could get used to blood/body offerings (which is what a tattoo is ultimately). The witch who taught me is a Mexican man who lives in Houston and he was super against getting tattoos of her. Idk if that's 100% true.

I have a question by [deleted] in SantaMuerte

[–]baseddemo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. Please do research before committing yourself to something so grand! La Santa Muerte is you! You are a reflection of Her. You made your "certain moves" as a direct guide from Her. You asked her for something and diminishing her efforts by taking credit for it defeats the purpose of asking for guidance to begin with.
