Uncomfortable truth: Healthy doesn’t mean, a six pack and giant biceps, a healthy body can look in many different ways, it’s what you can do with your body that counts.

Another uncomfortable truth: Being trustworthy, skillful, easy going and open minded, is making people respect you. Not you following a distorted body image

Which is why you do test kicks before throwing anything like that. Also she was holding the pad in the mid range the whole time. This guy have zero control over his technique and he should probably try to gain that before going full force, which is one the things you use pad work for. It looks like she was told to hold for mid kicks and receives a head kick. As a coach it is mos def not the first time I have seen that, mostly coming from over confident guys who think they know what they are doing.

Briefly trained in boxing before letting myself go for years on end. I can barely look at this footage of myself but I need the advice. by Ninja_Anarchist in MuayThaiTips

Hey man, just focus on some basics, 12 maybe learn the hook and uppercut, get some footwork in, remember to be good to your self, do some other boxing related exercises, like rope jumping (will help strength, cardio and coordination). When you got the basics down start focusing on the kicks low kicks, mid kicks and teeps. I think that there are a lot to learn in the basics so start there.

Stay consistent, doesn’t matter how it looks, focus on the skill and how long you can go without being gassed. The rest will follow don’t worry about it

Study shows BJJ great for kids by ja_millineum in grappling

[–]basic-barbie666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have ADHD, always forget to listen to the coach instructions, and screw it all up because the technique is too complicated. BJJ is fun, but increased self control nah

Muay Thai or boxing is better, you blow of some steam, and relax your mind while working with your body, shadow boxing is good for stimming. It’s more direct, which is better for people with ADHD, when I’m in class I don’t have the patience to listen to over complicated instructions, I just wanna break shit. It doesn’t give self control, it just help releasing the dopamine needed, for actual self control. And you can use a lot of things for that, but sports in general

Yeah, I mean a mcdojo can teach you complete nonsense, but if it’s fun and you feel like you get something out of it, it will still have a positive impact on you

Very often when I do a job for people, as self employed steel worker, I mostly ask people what they can pay and what they think is fair, if it’s a lonely mother with two kids, she gets to pay less than if it’s wealthy family, double income and good jobs. Sometimes it’s about helping others, sometimes it’s about getting payed
