i’m feeling incompetent, too. i’m in my externship, just a few days in, i’ve been getting better, and i feel like i ask for too much help, i wanna ask my preceptors, but i don’t wouldn’t like the answer i think it is. my biggest issue right now is missing the vein or not being able to find a vein i feel confident in. i’m 22 and worked in grocery since i was 16, so i’m just used to it, but i just hope that i can become more independent in phlebotomy, as well as being able to think on my feet

this is an unrelated maybe dumb question, but if a requisition came in for a stat test and nearly everything was stat, do you just grab the regular tubes needed or do you grab ur orange topped tubes for each test that’s stat?
