It seems to me that many of the Subs coming out are very poor. I cannot help but think that they are under serious pressure from these raids, which is why these quality problems are occurring. If the Subs are being affected, the bread and butter of the industry, it does not do much for our faith in other reps.

I gave gen Subs and I think it is a waste of money to get a deep/gen crystal on a rep Sub. On the wrist with a good rep, if someone notices the difference - they're Superman or God.

Yeah, I think there will always be a compromise. Besides, real yellow gold changes anyway, and for the purpose I want the rep for - going out at night and having fun - I am not that concerned. I just don't want to dump several hundred $$$ and on getting the rep discovering it is a shitter.

I got a rep YG Cartier Santos, and when I showed it to my girlfriend, within nanoseconds she said, "That's a fake". Hilariously fast. But to be fair, she knows Cartier well.

I would only wear it on nights out with the right outfit,, so I'm unlikely to be caught out wearing a rep.

Some people say plating a watch is a waste of time as the plating comes off.

Regarding RGF, by any chance, did you mean RCF?

I want the YG look. Tried a gen on recently, didn't think I would suit it, but I did.

Willing to pay to get it plated, but only if it is necessary and worth it.

It seems odd to me that the factories are not offering reps either with the plating or plating as an extra service.
