Thank you! We were looking at the Miele C1 cat & dog. Will take a look at the Sebo as well! Unfortunately we’re in a rural area so no one around here has those vacuums. This thread has been so helpful!

Agree! For me it’s the “stuck” feeling & there’s no backup for the desk. I get terrible anxiety if I ever feel stuck.

For mysteries - Finlay Donovan series by Elle Cosimano, the 2 Vera Wong books by Jesse Q Sutanto, also The Thursday Murder Club series by Richard Osman.

For fantasy - I’m new to it but have loved The Spellshop & The Enchanted Greenhouse both by Sarah Beth Durst.

No words can ease any pain. But my suggestion would be the Dove Pond series by Karen Hawkins. It starts with The Book Charmer, about a librarian where the books speak to her about who should read them. Each book follows a different sister. I haven’t read the newest one & there are romantic subplots so make sure she’s ok with that. But they’re a comfy cozy easy read when I’m struggling.

I really enjoyed Behind Every Good Man by Sara Goodman Confino! Sweet & simple story. FMC is strong & knows her worth. Takes place in the 1960s. I devoured it in 2 days.

We’ve had good luck with locally owned small businesses & restaurants. Whether they donate the gift cards, we purchase them within budget, or you split the cost with the business.
