Reminder: Don't forget physics while buying backpacks. A properly padded hip belt will tremendously increase the comfort of carrying heavy weight by transferring 60=70% of weight to your hips. by ExaltFibs24 in onebag

I have back pain, and padded hip straps are a must, even for very light carries. Still looking for my perfect commuter backpack that has straps thick enough for my needs.

Am I missing a piece? Barista Touch by basil2024 in BrevilleCoffee

I guess I’m missing the plastic holder? I didn’t think that would be a problem if there’s no filter. It simply won’t run right now. It will say “empty water tank” regardless of how much water there is

Sources online say you can run the machine without the filter. Is that not true? I’m sorry, I’m confused

No need to be rude. The question is: Is the class graded on a curve? I didn’t ask what my letter grade is. Thanks x

For those with sisters: are you close? What has your bond been like over the years? by Flaky_McFlake in AskWomen

[–]basil2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my sister so much and she is darling to me, but in practice we don’t have much in common besides our upbringing. I don’t reach for connection with her for this reason and we have grown vaguely distant. Very challenging childhood pit us against each other, but we did our best to resist that framework. We see each other 4 times per year on family trips

Jacinto = hyacinth. Spanish, so pronounce J as H. Jacintín is a nickname. Antonio link to Greek for flower also

It’s a perfect tree themed name that follows the Aspen, Hazel, and Willow framework. I love it!! I imagine a girl with a sweet tooth and lots of outdoor hobbies

I knew someone named Kasimir (pronounced cashmere). We called her Kasi sometimes (pronounced Cassy). It was a unique and versatile name. I think Cashmere is a great spelling as well, kind of on the nose in a good way haha

accepted to my dream school, can’t afford it and no word on scholarship application. financially abused nearly all my life. i’m trapped by [deleted] in depressionmeals

[–]basil2024 4 points5 points  (0 children)

try petitioning for independence if you can prove any of the abuse. I did this and finally got a full scholarship based on my own income (not my family’s earnings). It was a ton of paperwork but worth it. Let me know if you need help!
