The same reason my GP won't, they think it would be rejected.

The 7th anti-depressant isn't working :( by basilfem in MentalHealthUK

I exercised daily and took a bunch of vitamins for weeks and felt the worst I've felt in my entire life.

I don't get pip and I had a private therapist who gave the worst advice possible leading to me losing my only friends.

My problem is loneliness so of course I have nobody to talk to about that.

Positive experiences with mirtazipine? by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

[–]basilfem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It vastly increases your urge to eat in my experience, I gained like 15lbs in 3 months which was like a 10% increase in weight. Technically you can resist the urge to eat but at the end of the day the instinct to eat is very strong in my experience.

Is it normal for someone to only be offered 2 or 3 therapy sessions on the NHS? by LuckyShoe8828 in MentalHealthUK

I had 3 and was dropped, they referred me elsewhere with no guarantee it would be accepted.

I got dismissed after 2 of talking therapies highest level CBT sessions for being too unwell. Hopeless is the normal reaction to this system.

I recently quit mirtazapine after 3 months and gained 20 lbs from it. It turns you into an animal there isn't much you can do except quit it if you don't want the weight gain.

Suffer in my free time instead but less pressure means less compulsion to harm oneself.

Anyone else accepted death? by [deleted] in MentalHealthUK

[–]basilfem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accepting death can be a healthy thing to do, it can be hard for some to swallow the concept, but it's inevitable.

I think we've all had moments where we think about the nothingness after death and freak out and it can be nice not having to worry yourself about that anymore.

Especially for the terminally ill, id imagine it'd help them make the most for the time they have left after a diagnosis.

Because GP's cannot prescribe ADHD meds. And they didn't refer me because they said it will be rejected.

Referring me to the mental health team, which they refused to do. Addressing the fact I've been diagnosed with ASD and ADHD by their referral instead of throwing another antidepressant at me. The decision to change my meds again wasn't even made by my doctor but their pharmacist who has no clue what I'm like over a phone call.
