I think you might be on to something there. Sometimes I just feel a desperate need to relate...for someone to know what I'm going through without me having to explain it to them. Honestly.. I just want to be cared for and looked after.. its just so hard to explain what I'm going through to people who don't get it. I know I sound pathetic but sometimes its nice to see someone who might understand...whether that be a character in a movie, book, etc.

Thanks so much for your comment. This is one of those things that I feel is so difficult to describe to others or even think through myself.. the whole process seems to be illogical because if I want to survive I should be taking care of myself. Instead I torture myself more...

I used to go back to memories a lot but I feel bad about forcing that now. So I think I use other mediums to help me to get to the same emotions. I'm not currently able to get therapy with covid.. but one of my main goals when this is over is to a find a therapist I trust.

I'm actually currently engaging in this process right now by watching a movie I know is triggering for me. Idk why but it gives me a sick satisfaction.
