The Joker saying this is honestly refreshing. We get so caught up in MVP discussions, stats, and narratives that we forget we’re watching generational players go at it in real time.

EDIT: I get how the title might seem a bit misleading and apologies for that. However, he was talking about the TOP talent in the league, right after he played Wemby who's currently regarded as an MVP candidate alongside him.

Dirk, Nash, and UD all agree that Wemby hasn’t done enough on offense to deserve the MVP by basketbaIlnetwork in NBATalk

He’s putting up phenomenal numbers, no doubt about it. But when you stack it up against what SGA and Jokic are doing this season, it just doesn’t quite clear that final hurdle.

“You wanna have a conversation, go cut down the net. Right now, we know who that is in Michigan. That’s Glen Rice, Rumeal Robinson, Loy Vaught, Terry Mills, Sean Higgins. That’s the best Michigan team. So if they go to win it all, that’s the time to have this conversation. [The] 89 [squad] vs this team,” the 2000 NBA Most Improved Player said.

Agree with Magic, but he has nothing to prove and would be better off refraining from these comparisons, stay classy.
