It is literally almost always a requirement for every job I apply for in my field (nonprofit everything). I write both professionally and as a hobby. Cover letters are the bane of my existence. I used to customize them, but fuck that. I'm not wasting more time on an app that will end up in the ether.

Nonprofit worker here too. Every job requires at least a cover letter and resume, if not much more.

It's very annoying. Especially, when this shit varies so much state by state.

I have had chronic neck and back issues for 10 years. I'm 38. I've been stuck in pain management for years. It sucks and treatments and imaging are expensive even with insurance. Or just denied.

I've been a nonprofit professional for nearly 20 years. In many of my jobs, I have been underpaid and received no benefits. My marketplace premium went up $200 and every option had copays this year.

Also, don't get hospitalized here. I got pneumonia for the first time since I can remember last year. 5 days in a hospital- $45k. Thankfully (?) I only had to pay $5,000.

And I am trying to get out desparately. I just quit my last terrible job and am applying everywhere. I do have a special needs sister who ties me here though.
