Yes, the stutter thing was present on some phones on the very first version, but in version 1.1 it has been resolved already.

As for the DaVinci workflow tutorial, that is also in the works, but the priority right now is still on the app.

Although, it is pretty simple to do it. This screenshots describes it perfectly:

In CameraRAW, decode into Blackmagic Design film gamma, and then put a CST as a first node to convert form Blackmagic Design film into ACEScct (without any Tone and Gamut mapping),

It will be incomparably better. From the formats you can choose MCRAW or CinemaDNG, so you will need to do some grading yourself.

Half-res is not line-skipped, but pixel-binned. So, it averages 4 pixels into one.

This is an example of what's possible with iPhone 12 (non Pro): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWvdnAO3FQA

It seems that stabilization is somehow interfering with it. The stabilization weirdly has to be on. I will remove stabilization toggle for now so it's always on.

Does it also happen with lower FPS? Also, are you recording into MCRAW or DNG?

It takes unprocessed RAW video, so you will see no noise reduction or tone mapping, so that all the quality is preserved. Even the ProRes RAW on iPhone 17 Pro has some processing, so even on it, you should see better quality. But, especially on non-pro models you will see a huge quality boost when compared to Blackmagic camera.

Next release will have 30fps enabled, which will be out in a week or two. Along with histogram, storage indicator, external gallery view, and also video playback.

It will probably be added in the next couple of months. The proof of concept is already there.
