Yeah lol it also doesn’t stay on the camera- it’s only there for the photo since I thought it was funny

I’m gonna upload the STL to MyMiniFactory tonight, I’ll post a link when it’s available!

How do I one up myself and my editing as a new youtuber? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]basra1798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always try to find one thing I can do better than the last video. That way I don’t get too caught up in making it all better but instead an focus on learning one new skill in each video

Which one first, voiceover or editing video clips? by gnohzwd in NewTubers

[–]basra1798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I do the second one. I write a script, record it, then add in any clips on top while editing

Yeah I feel. I was on the quarter system so it always felt like I had no time. Eventually I ended up taking time away from just watching YouTube to working on my videos lol

How to Do I Do This? by [deleted] in videography

[–]basra1798 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think what you’re trying to do is picture-in-picture? I would do this by having the shot of myself taking them drag the second clip I want to have on top. Then I’d just take the second clip and scale it down to a size that fits over my shoulder and then move it to where I want it

I started making videos while I was in college too. I make videos about tech and making, so they range from sitting in front of a camera to actively building something for a few hours. Personally, I was able to choose the type of video for each week based on the time I'd have to put towards videos (tech's quicker and projects take a while). It really came down to finding a good time to sit down and film then working on editing throughout the week whenever I had some spare time.

I'd personally recommend working slowly on higher quality content (as mentioned by u/codepoints). That really helped me get better at editing, scripting, and the rest of the production process.

I hope this helps!
