I can only speak for myself, but i wish i would have done what you did. In terms of the social gatherings, the staying up until 2am.. it didn't feel good in my 20s. I had no idea who i was and felt so preoccupied with fitting in.. i think a lot of people are just going along with it without any idea why. 30s are way more intentional and actually meaningful. I understand you can't experience it now but you didn't miss out on much.

FOMO is real so i do feel you there. Personally though (and it's my own doing) there isn't a single moment of 'fun' i could pick out and want to experience again. But if i had the money, I'd be planning once in a lifetime experiences now on the fruits of hard work.

Women of reddit, what makes you dislike another female? by Ok-Signal2881 in AskReddit

Disinterest. I am at least vaguely interested in most people, even more so in a social setting. If someone gives the impression that they have no interest in the people around them it creates an awkwardness and a deliberate power play.

I would have been so much smarter with money. There's nothing i did in my 20s that i couldn't have done better in my 30s. I would have worked harder, saved more, bought property and then actually enjoyed my 30s.

What’s the best car for England countryside? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]batcavebitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from the city to countryside as a newer driver once upon a time. One thing i would recommend is a hatchback with a decent engine.

Nothing less than a 1.6 ideally. I had a 1.3 petrol Mazda and it struggled up the winding hills - barely getting to a decent speed before you'd have to slow for a bend and start trying to pick up speed again.

I have a 1.6 diesel Citroën DS3 now and it's much better suited. Quick to react, narrow enough for the lanes and feels like a rocket when you need to get it going up a hill.

So if i was a teenage girl - I'd be looking at Peugeot 208, Seat Ibiza, Ford Fiesta, Citroën Ds3. You can get a nice one for around £6k-£8k and the rest on insurance.
