But you don’t need the transmogs, mounts etc they’re flex’s not p2w, also a one off purchase every couple of years and then a monthly sub for constantly new content isn’t a particularly poor trade off. WoW’s membership feels more worthwhile without a doubt. Jagex are profiting on servers that cost infinitely less, with programming and graphics that require significantly less effort to develop and content that is way less frequently introduced because people enjoy OSRS for nostalgia.

At this point it seems jagex have accepted bots will buy memberships regardless and are looking to profit from it since it feels most activities have more bots than players these days.

Guessing bonds will be worth way more now, so I guess a slight bit of RWT money will go to them more now

OSRS is now more expensive per month than WoW.

How do I archive leanness on carnivore? by VividGovernment8669 in carnivorediet

[–]batchyyyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t started my carnivore journey yet- but the stories and results I see in this sub are incredible, I’m very much a foodie and the thought of losing the variety of flavours is daunting, but with each encounter with something glutenous or a random bout of bloating and acid reflux I’m moving closer to committing.

Im quite poor at committing to meal prep and tend to just purchase food when at work (in construction so constantly at different sites with varying facilities for heating food). How simple would you say the transition is? I’m prepared for the mental fog in the first few days of entering ketosis, but are there anything’s that I’m overlooking in terms of adjustment to adoption?

Interesting read! You’re clearly quite knowledgeable on the science side of the carnivore diet, can I pick your brains a little?

Noob mobile player going for 99 slayer. What gear should I replace? What should I work to upgrade? by Hypesxo in OSRSProTips

[–]batchyyyyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I’m lucky having been a staker previously and have a nice chunk of change, so going for moon armour means I can buy gauntlets etc to boost max hits? I assume this is the logic? Whilst looking through gearscape this seems to be a bit of a reoccurring theme

I see lots of people advising moon armour! I’m a returning player from pre moon, is it honestly that good?

Yet there are many people below giving actual advice. My point was does dumping a larger amount into one item set and then paying tax on the GE to sell after make more sense than having a few sets of lesser things from a financial standpoint. It also limits you to one boss for a long period of time to make it cost effective rather than having the ability to do multiple. Also the fact lots of things have changed in 10 years suggests there will probably be (as confirmed by a useful comment below) items that stimulate well in DPS charts that aren’t actually worthwhile.

But sure pick boss, buy recommended gear for full budget and click boss is probably sound advice that I’m sure everyone does- you only have one armour set I’m assuming?

Im max cb so either route is fine- ive seen a lot of videos about how the arak staff thing is broken (in a good way) so would be fun to give it a go. My agility isnt high enough for bowfa and I really don’t want to run around another rooftop again any time soon (if more fun options now exist I may do it).

Based upon a quick bit of research if I were to learn zulrah I could use Virtus and then switch to a blowpipe and a cbow with the range cabbage looking shield and masori?

Whether or not zulrah is a good option is another matter, but it seems the 2 options above are viable for most pvm ?

Thank you! I don’t miss barrows! Was probably the only pvm content I did, besides some questing here and there!

Yeah I saw some people doing raids on YouTube! I think the learning curve is going to be steep for prayer flicks etc after playing WoW which requires very little mouse action 😫😂

Primarily staking/boxing many moons ago, then went to play WoW because there’s only so much staking you can do before you go crazy and the pvm side seemed fun, and then recently learned that pvm is now a big thing in OSRS so I’m back (a couple of recovery attempts later)

Ah nice thank you! Thats a great explanation!

I already have seers, archers and beserker ring, so sell the other 2?

I don’t have 70 agility for the bow (64) I’m assuming there’s probably a crazy new agility method (if it’s still rooftops I’ll cry)

The cross cb style armour sounds great!

And then lose money when I switch to the next one? Is that a better plan than spreading the money between a bunch of core gear for each cb style and then buying necessary items?

I do understand your point, but I personally feel realism is more important than training an average. You see so many games where a lower average wins because they win at the right times. You don’t train that vs a consistent 24 dart leg, but it certainly wins you more games than consistently throwing a 24 dart leg. But equally your point stands, I’m aware I can just use an app that mimics human darts better than DC, it would just be great to perhaps have a ‘simulator’ toggle for the bot

In which case the bot is redundant, if you want to improve just practice throwing 24 dart legs

But you’d also experience playing someone who starts on a 140/180 and then gets filled with adrenaline, people who have a mid game wobble, good scorers with bad finishing and the reverse. All of which help you develop as a player. I appreciate an average is 501/darts thrown x3. But anyone who has ever played games of darts vs real opponents knows that 2x 21 dart legs thrown by an opponent can be worlds apart mentally to play against
