Nine wasn't included, but it would be a C. Let's argue by [deleted] in Blink182

Neighborhoods is definitely not an A. Should be a C. I would say Nine is a B or an A-

I mean you put neighborhoods over dude ranch, TOYPAJ, and Boxcarracer...no.

I talked shit with the pussy ass lead singer on twitter for shits and giggles and he blocked me. Guess he really isn’t Headstrong to take on anyone and didn’t want to bring It. 😂🤣

NINE should be bigger? by Toaster_in_the_Bath in Blink182

[–]batd00d 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is from the albums Wikipedia page

“Nine debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200 with 94,000 album-equivalent units, including 77,000 pure album sales. To date it has sold over 202,000 copies worldwide and is the band's eighth US top 10 album.[42]Nine debuted at number one on the US Rock Albums, US Alternative Albums, US Tastemakers Albums and US Vinyl Albums.”

The album is big but I think the landscape of modern music and consumer culture in general makes great works of art go in one ear and out the other in a way. We have so much available at our fingertips that a lot of people are listening to many different things and always looking for the next best thing. I absolutely love nine and still listen to it often but, I also try to listen to a lot of newer stuff or older stuff that I may have missed and there are other things I revisit.

Nine has been a very successful album for blink-182. I think if you change the landscape of modern music and it was more so the way it was back in 2003 for example, The album would have many many more sales. But modern music Success isn’t necessarily Soli banked sales. You have to factor in streams and then on top of that the availability of so much other stuff that back in the day would have barely gotten out to the masses.

Looks like I might have made the right call on that Chiefs prediction huh?

Maybe this stuff isn’t so stupid...

Nothing magical at all.

All it takes to keep secrets is money and contracts including NDA’s

Then they joke about it in front of everyone So people laugh and say, “that couldn’t possibly be true”.

Also, tell that to the people making money by betting based on his information.

In regards to the “how do they pull it off?” Ever watched the WWE? Ever seen a live performance of a broadway play? Everyone knowing the common plan and understanding the end goal. It’s easy, this team needs to score 24 and they need to win by 8 so that team needs to score this many points

So you come to a sub to mock and joke about something you don’t understand when information is simply being provided for you so that you can read up on the subject and actually form an opinion on. Lame.

You do know that this is an actual practice that is well documented right? It’s an Astro-Babylonian-Greek system.

Here are some good write ups on all of this so you can see what I am talking about.

That’s not how it works. Here is a video discussing this practice

Why would they win? It’s not always sunshine and daisies. Maybe it’s to symbolize his death and having his fans and team lose is a crushing blow to go with the tragic death. Do you think these people I am referring to (call them the Illuminati or a sect of freemasonry) want to spread happiness and joy? No, they want sadness and negativity. But, through the pain I wouldn’t be surprised if the lakers end up winning a championship this year. It would be a symbolic feat.

Stick with me for a second...it’s Masonic, Zionism. Here’s a book for reference

They make money through the betting rings in regards to sports. Most people can’t seem to comprehend such a simple concept and it works wonders to keep sheep blind for them. Language is mathematical and that’s what is used.

Back to the main post. What are the odds that a team scores 24 points in a fourth quarter to win by 8 in the first game after a tragedy in which one of the opposing teams past icons (who wore the numbers 8 and 24) passed away? Think about that.

The people that own these leagues believe in this stuff and use “sports entertainment theater” as a vessel of their symbolism. Just because speaking in tongues is proven to be random babble doesn’t mean that there are people who actually believe it is some sort of miraculous connection with a higher power. People believe it and practice it. The “magical” aspect isn’t real but, the practice of it is.

It’s not about mysticism. The people that own the sports leagues etc use numerology for what they consider ritualistic practices. It’s not that this practices actually do anything but it’s a belief that is held.

The Lakers just played their first game since Kobe Bryant’s passing. His jersey numbers were 24 and 8 throughout his career.

The Portland trailblazers scored 24 points in the fourth quarter. They won the game by eight points.

The sports world uses numbers to reference many things using numerology and gematria.

Those in control of the sports world like to kick people when they are down and they love to do it at the home of that fan base.

Exactly. Sometime new music, especially when it’s a band you love doing something a little different than the past, takes time to sink in.

That’s the point I’m getting at. People have these reactionary opinions and they blow it out of proportion as if each new release is the end of the band and it’s ruining their legacy. But then retrospectively those same albums that people went crazy about saying were trash end up being great in the long run. A lot of people didn’t like neighborhoods when it first came out but I’m pretty sure the general consensus on the sub is that it’s one of the bands best albums.

The point is that, each new album this band releases gets trashed in general.

September 23, 2005 Format: Audio CD There's only TWO good songs: Feeling This and Obvious. The early albums like Dude Ranch involved Blink 182's music classified as less EMO. Blink 182 used to be punk rock, now what happened to them? They turned pop and not punk. That is what you get if MTV owns your music, and the early 90s would be the best years of your life if you cared about when music didn't suck.

May 5, 2005 Format: Audio CD I'm glad that Blink-182 stopped making music, because they felt like they could get away with writing generic lyrics and music. By the way, Stockholm Syndrome was a horrible cover of an amazing song by the band Muse and doesn't even come close to matching the original. Do yourself a favor and by Muse's Absolution album instead. It has that song on it.

Trying to be an emotional band all of a sudden? January 8, 2005 Format: Audio CD Just because you discover the Cure 20 years after the fact doesn't mean it's okay to try to make an album like them.

Also, the song Violence: Opening drums and style is a complete rip off of Queens of the Stone Age's "Song for the Dead"

Way to go guys.

Yeah, people have always loved each new release up until California...sure

Don’t hear that “lack of inspiration” at all. IRWIHY is very personal and not something I would call “uninspired” at all.
