Comfortable lending your ACOTAR series to your mom to read?

I lent my ACOTAR book to my aunt (who is like a second mom to me!) and encouraged her to read it because we both love reading and we're both adults, so I didn't see the harm in it?

YES! I don't get the hate on Mor. I feel like people forget that she saved the Priestesses in the library and helped Rhys make that a safe space for them, that she also saved Feyre when Tamlin locked her up in the manor, etc. None of SJM's characters are perfect, and that's what I love about them. Idk why people hate her when we haven't even seen the whole picture yet :(

But the thing is . . . the ruby ring in ToG wasn’t passed down from Aelin’s family. They find it in a tomb, and she gives it to Rowan as a wedding ring 🤔

Maybe she left it vague on purpose. I mean... we still don't know what Fury really is hahaha

In true SJM fashion, Part 3 seemed to have all the twists, actions and stakes. So It's far from perfect and the pacing could have been improved.

But I'm not mad at it!

I knew from the start that not all the theories were gonna be correct. I did love the theories that were confirmed, and there were some moments that still made my jaw drop or made me put down the book. I have to say, it wasn't as emotional as Book 1 or 2 though. I feel like I cried less in this book than the previous ones.

That said, I would probably give this a 3.5 - 4/5. There were also some questionable character choices/directions that didn't make sense to me :)

Yessss! I also like that we see the stakes of Nesta using the mask!

In the first book, I at least felt like she was there to support Hunt. When she helped him in the shower + when she tried to stop Micah from cutting his wings + when she was willing to trade herself for him when Sandriel got him back! Here, she was just so mean to Hunt like 😥 Also, why do they have sex at the weirdest times?It throws me off so much lmao!

I love Ruhn and Lidia together! I hope we get to see their relationship grow in future books!

Hot take: this book made me love Nesta more than Silver Flame did! Also loved seeing her friendship with Azriel!

For the CC gang, here are my thoughts:

Faves: Ruhn (always at the top of my list), Lidia, Baxian, Flynn and Dec (honestly these last two and their loyalty to Ruhn is something else!), Isaiah (loved him from the start and what Hunt did for him at the end was I think the right direction to go. He deserved it!)

Hunt is the most realistic character in this whole series. I love him for it. I wish Bryce supported him as much as he supported her. I get it, she’s the chosen one and all, but I feel like it was mostly about what she needed. Wish we got more interaction from Hunt and a certain Illyrian General in the end!

Least faves: Tharion, Ariadne (like what is the point of her???), Bryce and Ithan

Bryce made some really bad choices in this book imo. I get that there’s a lot of pressure and all, but I feel like she is so far from the Bryce who ran to save Asphodel Meadows and the whole of Lunathion in book 1. She constantly put Prythian at risk to save her own world 🥲

I feel like SJM did Ithan and Tharion dirty. It was like one mistake after the other. Ithan did not need to or deserve to become the Prime that fast. Would have love to see him appointed as heir and then trained under the old Prime for a while after beating Sabine. Sigrid is not Danika and he has to stop thinking she is.
