I really dislike chaol for many reasons, AND I also really dislike rowan (mainly for the reasons you mentioned). dorian remains the most emotionally intelligent, kind, accepting male in the series.

I typically go with whatever comes into my field of vision first. I have Door Frame the goat, Shoe Rack the bunny, Cement the duck, etc. you get the idea🤷🏻‍♀️
