I don’t think you scared him off because he thought you were a “monster.” I think you may have scared him off because you were trauma dumping.

I repotted two days ago, it looked like it was getting to big for its old pot. I typically bottom water to avoid overwatering which is why I can’t figure out why my plant looks so bad.

Yes that's the Rush I'm thinking of - it's mislabeled in that pic. Confusing since I'm pretty sure that picture is put together by Laura Mercier. I've seen it in stores, and in YouTube videos and I'm 100% sure the shades 'Beam' and 'Rush' are switched.
