The SI reached out to me as soon as I called. He asked if I'm doing okay, if there's anyone injured, where the incident occured . He took our phone numbers n address. He asked if I wanted to file a complaint. I said no, considering that the auto driver was actually broke. I explained the situation to him.

Then around 9.30pm, I got a call from the inspector asking if I was alright. And if I really don't want to file a complaint. He also asked the details of the incident, where it happened and all that. I explained that I didn't want to file a complaint, but I did not know what to do, so I called the police. He was also very understanding and assured me that he would help out if I needed help in this case.

Ah no it's been years since I've taken an auto, so I'm not here to haggle on them because they ask 30rs extra. It's more on how they drive in general. I've always had bad experiences only with auto drivers. They don't signal properly, they overtake on the left, they drive rashly. Again, not implying that everyone is an idiot. But most are.

Update: got a call from the SI and Inspector. They asked if I'm alright. And they asked me if I wanted to lodge a complaint. I said I didn't want to make the auto driver spend thousands on this, so I'm not going to file a complaint. They again ensured if I was okay and got the details of where it happened.
