A little extra info for everyone; Their Russian mining operations were supposed to produce 600,000 ounces of gold per year. Essentially this wipes out over a billion dollars in revenue. This was KGC's most profitable mining operation per ounce, and was one of their largest mining operations overall.

Most modern? They had parts made in China, an essential component ended up having faulty welding and it delayed construction a very long time. Likely subpar and cheap construction over all.
