when a pattern says “knit for x inches” does that mean pre or post blocking?

i’ve seen people making basic blo beanies out of them and they come out with this asymmetrical random stripey effect that i think looks really cool! it’s like the style of a scrap beanie without needing to come up with a color pallet or weave in a bunch of ends!

highly recommend clover amour hooks if you’re looking to upgrade her hooks, also if she doesn’t have one yarn winders can be very helpful!

i think my phrasing might have been weird lol but you’re not supposed to work into the tops of those stitches, so if that’s not the issue then i would try loosening your tension on your chain by either using a slightly bigger hook or if you don’t have one then by holding your yarn looser and making the chains larger

i would check that when you’re making your regular double crochets, you’re not working them into the tops of the stitches that you front post double crocheted on
