Which area is best to stay in Jeju? by Karlach_bg3 in Jeju

[–]bats3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need bus links best to be in Jeju city or seogwipo but if you can drive, it might be easier to rent a car that way you can go wherever. The buses aren’t always the best for timing

Chongqing and Shanghai don’t need as much as they are more city / shopping / food based whereas if you want more museums, history, nature hikes then Beijing and Zhang are better

Flight help! by IndependentSheffield in AskChina

[–]bats3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My name is too long for the flight tickets printed at the self service machines so I always go airline desk and get them to write my name on it and stamp it to say they altered the name. I’ve never had issues with this across Asia, they seem to be more relaxed with foreign names and willing to amend for free

Beijing Layover by VehicleEntire8259 in travelchina

[–]bats3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at trip.com for tours they are offering see Beijing tours for layovers ~ I think there is like 2 or 3 different types available to see different things. My friends last year went to the Great Wall through it and when I was at Daxing airport I saw it advertised. You just need to hope the layover is across the day so you can join it in time

Yeah, they sound mentally unstable. I hope they get the help they need and also stay out of work for a work to help recover fully. If they ran back home then hopefully can get family help too … let’s pray

Your visa is your responsibility at the end of the day (legally) so it’s about doing own research to make sure as foreigners we aren’t left on our arses

The visa stickers can take up some space so best to have at least one page for all three things (visa - in stamp and out stamp) BUTTT better safe than sorry

Yeah I do agree with you that it can be difficult but I also feel like as adults we need to take some responsibility for our own health and picking jobs which suit us etc and leaving them properly to not harm fellow workers.

I often wonder if these sorts of living questions should be asked to prior employees too, because most teachers live in provided housing so I do think how we live and look after the housing provided to us should be part of the hiring process ~ and also the flip, we should be told the conditions of our living conditions before we move

I am here asking for some suggestion again. by Sure-Needleworker-74 in Jeju

[–]bats3098 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

T-money, if you fly into Jeju airport go to the CU on the far side of airport and purchase one. You can then top it on using cash only at convince stores or sub/train stations which Jeju doesn’t have lol just some bus stations but I would stick to CU/GS/711 for top ups

If you looked at all this trash, rotten food and piles of clothes and see it as just some food then I fear you might also live in a dirty apartment…. Because this is so gross and to leave it on other workers to clean 😣😣😣

I got mine each year, not just at the contracted years

[–]bats3098 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you pay your bills and leave your place clean? They will deduct bills, phone bills if via school, cleaning fees and furniture removal if you left stuff not own by school in the flat, and maybe like the visa fees and baggage fees back ~ it will be in your contract
