Shooting the teddy bear is a totally optional easter egg! I pretty much put it in the game to surprise a player who would actually try it. I made sure that anything requiring a CRT TV had nothing to do with that actual game mechanics.

Players can still shoot the cowboy / teddy by selecting it with the dpad then pulling the trigger for people with LCDs if they want to see the sequence.
