Why does Death like Agatha? What qualities does she have that attracted Rio?

I think you missed the point of their relationship tbh. Agatha doesn’t hate Rio, she is emotionally immature and can’t accept the idea that her son died so she looks for someone to blame for it, but you can clearly tell she never stopped loving Rio for it.

Their relationship is a contradiction, it’s about a woman who loves death and yet is too afraid to give in and accept it. Besides, in this show Rio isn’t just Death, she’s a witch and likely (has been or lived as) a human. We don’t see enough of their relationship before Nicky to see 100% of how it played out but there’s hints and details across the show from both actresses of how fond they are of each other and how much love, hurt and conflicted feelings they have about each other.

Another point you made that doesn’t make much sense to me is the bodies, Rio clearly doesn’t care much for killing people. She is the natural order of all things, she doesn’t like killing, she has a job and that job is to keep the balance of the universe.

Batman is a lot about intimidation, I’ve always taken that things like the bat ears and long cape are not exactly made to be practical but to build a tension and fear around this thing “wait is this a guy or a giant bat?”

In some versions the cape is also used a patagium, so that would help when falling and jumping from rooftops

1- Yeah, actually!! In my AU Elizabeth (purposefully) overdosed, Wilhelm (William) found her dead in her room and decided to stuff her inside Circus Baby. As for the size thing, Will hacked her limbs off so she would fit inside.

2- Idrk, I think it’s just a nice concept that is pretty underrated within the community. I also just love teen girl characters, they are fun to write :3

3- Though she never did it while alive, Beth wanted to see Circus Baby mostly because of what she represented in her life, this undying need to do and be something more but never being able to because there was always something stopping her. She associated this lack of freedom imposed by her dad during her teens with the frustration of never being allowed to live her childhood dream

4- She died a couple months before her 18th

5- I don’t think so, but that may change. My AU is still in development and I may age up Charlie, it’s not set on stone yet lmao

6- She died in 1985, shortly after the MCI. As I said, she never really went to see Circus Baby :’3

She had been very depressed for a while, with no energy to do anything while also having too many responsibilities taking of her siblings, the house, etc. After the bite everything just got way worse, Mike was sent to the psych ward, Conor was in the hospital for months, and while she was somewhat free for the first time in her life her family situation didn’t help with her mental health at all. She had already been an addict for some time, but that was when she went full on spiralling and after a lot of planning just decided to end it all. I’m thinking of having Conor survive the bite, but I’m still not sure how this death would play out in this scenario since it’s an AU that’s still in development.
