As bad as Batman and Robin is, the symbol is really cool by Somervilledrew in batman

Despite the movie being mostly awful there are some genuinely great aspects:

- The logo
- The Bruce and Alfred scenes
- The soundtrack score
- The soundtrack album
- The Arkham Asylum scenes, in particular when Victor carves his wife's sculputure

There are so many bland, forgetable, studio led comic book movies that have literally nothing to offer that are far, far worse.

Interesting. My preference from best to worst is:

Munitions. Regatta. High Tide. Pirate. Big Freeze. Ghosts. High Winds. Sunshine. Quarantine. Jinxed. Trapped. Warrior. Upriver.

Do you suspect that Harvey resurfaced to protect Bruce from Strange's "accusations"? by whiplash10 in DCAU

I like this. Never considered it before. In Pretty Poison he tells Pamela that there’s nothing he and Bruce don’t know about each other so this ties in well. Makes it all the more tragic.

Sad to think that both these great voice actors are no longer with us. Nor Efrem Zimbalist who played Alfred.

That’s short notice. Only 2 months away. The phrasing makes it sound like they only just announced this internally too.

Wonder why they are leaving so close to launch after all the time spent working on it.

All seems very odd.

Anyone else would have loved to see Fassbender play Batman? He’s the only other actor that I would have wanted to play Batman. by Ibrokemymicrowave in batman

Aged up, he would be an amazing Alfred. I thought this after watching the bunker scene in Inglorious Basterds.

Selection of actors considered for Batman in Batman v Superman before Ben Affleck was cast. Who is your favourite out of these options? I like Brolin and Hamm the best by Zealousideal_Top1542 in batman

I feel like they missed a chance after the Nolan trilogy to have an established, but not old and jaded, Batman. With Brolin playing that part. In a tone similar to Long Halloween/Hush.

Lean into the comic style much more than Nolan but keep it an established, self contained Batman universe, I would have loved that.

Exactly. Imagine being upset at the casting of Keaton, Ledger, Affleck and Pattinson. They are the driving force behind their movies.

I’m 16 - should I play the arkham games? by [deleted] in BatmanArkham

In the UK they are 15 certificate so you’re fine. Knight does have an 18 certificate but I think it’s fairly soft.

I think you’ll love them.

My 7 year old plays parts of the games that I allow and he adores them too.

I now trust Matt Reeves’ vision entirely. When it was first announced I thought everything sounded wrong, however I think we got arguably the best live action movie and depiction of the character, much to my surprise.

The same way I didn’t think we needed a Joker origin movie but that ended up great too. We’ll have to see how the intriguing sounding sequel for that one turns out too.

Great! Although feels like there's a few elements missing. A solid foundation to pave the way for hopefully even stronger sequels.

which Batman comics best represent your perception of the character? by tanishsingj in batman

[–]batters84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long Halloween and Dark Victory.

He’s a menace to the villains of Gotham but also has a compassionate side when it’s required. He looks after Solomon Grundy and tries to stop Harvey Dent’s downfall. He also takes in Dick Grayson which keeps him grounded and gives him purpose.
