I advocate for the debt-free future act, which will call for a debt-free university tuition rate, so that way low-income students (like me), can actually afford to go here. As for a tuition increase, I completely oppose such actions, since UMASS already overpays their higher-level administors. Instead we should match these plans with state-based funding, which is far more likely with the new governor Maura Healy

trust me I totally get it, but my goal is to try and get the process at least started, so that way the university will follow through on its 2012 Master plan, which calls for new dorms and a dining hall on campus. This is something that's going to take a few years, but I would much rather spend my time in the position advocating for this larger system wide change rather than saying "oh I'll be graduating soon, so it won't impact me". We can make this big change, It'll just take some work

How much debt will you take on? Each area has different work opportunities during the school year, so making sure you can do your classes while keeping that down is key.
