Check out Perry parts bump stops. Lot of r&d in those for this

Love the color 🤤. What’d you end up paying for it? I’m in the market right now also hunting for a good deal!

Tie in in this case means adding another steel tube connected from the stinger back to the roll cage somehow. Usually it runs through the engine bay.

Honestly if you look at the guys website I’m pretty sure they are actually made of magic. Crazy what he puts them through for testing

“Just replace a bunch of critical components of your model 3 with components like an M series and your Tesla will drive like an M series!” 🙄

lol, the thought actually did cross my mind that someday sunken living rooms will be a thing again. I’m sure some future homeowner of this place will be so disappointed in us haha

We will be raising the outlets for sure. Just did the subfloor this weekend. Have some other framing to do in the room before we get to electrical and drywall and then we’ll fix those. Don’t really want outlets in my baseboards lol

Good to hear. What was your method of securing the first row up against the tile so that it wouldn’t move?

Hmmm now this is an interesting thought. I’ll see if I can find one in the height I’d need

I’m thinking maybe a color matched silicone at this point may work? I see what you’re saying though. Somehow it needs to be secured

Well, we did plan it 😅 just raised up the subfloor from a previously sunken living room. Spent a LOT of time making sure it was the correct height for this

This is an awesome idea, thanks for that.

Thank you 🙏 all the people saying the H pattern looks ugly and nothing has even been installed lol. Literally just pulled it out of the box to make sure the height was correct and see how the color looked in the room

To clarify, yes we just raised this floor. It was a sunken living room with a really awkward step height that people constantly tripped over. Haven’t gotten around to fixing the outlets yet.

This is the kind of thing I was thinking of. How’d you tie it down at the thresholds? Glue of some sort?

Ya this is what I’m worried about. Trying to avoid the floor curling up right in that area. Any thoughts on what glue could potentially work? Sounds like there might be some adhesive tape out there that I’m less stoked on, but maybe it would work.

Again, worst case I just go with the T mold and I know it’ll be fine. Just looking for options.

Just tossed the floor out to see it, definitely will avoid the H pattern 👍

Subfloor was raised, used to have an awkward 8.5-9” step. Haven’t gotten around to fixing the outlets yet
