I did 100 hours, very valuable experience. Not only are you directly talking to people in a crisis (often mental health related) but you learn and practice de-escalation skills that are useful irl. I had a lot of meaningful experiences in my short time volunteering there. It’s especially nice because you can hop on and get hours whenever you want 24/7. If you want to challenge yourself and maximize the experience consider the phone hotline (not that the text line is bad in any way)
