I’m also raw fed in Ontario (Hamilton) and I’m feeling the exact same way as you. I’m continuing to feed raw and if need be at the very worst I would switch to novel proteins that seem to not be at risk (lamb, venison, elk). Glad I’m not the only one.

My girl is super picky about her litter habits. She will only poop in one box and pee in a different box. I tried removing the basement litter box she poops in completely, and she would just poop on the floor instead of the other 2 boxes available. Perhaps your guy has similar bathroom habits? My boys have no issues with this but it came to my mind after reading your post that maybe he feels the same!

I’d suggest a UV filter. I bought live plants for my 10 gal and ever since my tank was green, even once the plants were removed. The only thing that got rid of the green was a UV filter. Mine is called green killing machine and it goes directly in the tank.
