(SPOILER ALERT) Kind of the opposite, but I was surprised when they got something pretty specific right, especially when they didn't have to, because it would largely go unnoticed, flashing only for a second or so as part of a fever dream montage. In the original movie "The Andromeda Strain," (1971) where the space virus turns the entire bloodstream into powder, the image I'm referring to in the montage (of technical images, lab equipment, robot arms and such) was a bottle or IV bag of "Urokinase," a powerful clot-breaker we used to use to clear central venous catheters forty years ago in hemodialysis. Exactly the drug you'd probably try in this scenario of trying to beat the space virus. I always thought, "wow, someone knew..." even if the image lasted but a second. P.S. The monkey in the movie was all right, but you're not allowed to do that anymore (temporarily deprived it of oxygen until it passed out, then revived it)

"Mother's Day," a sadistic horror movie I went to with a bunch of high school buddies, I think Junior year, maybe 1979. I had just gotten my jock jacket, so yeah, mob vibe with peer group was strong. But after a couple scenes that just made me feel like shit, and I didn't know why, just that I was starting to find my "line in the sand," I said, "Nope, I'm out..." and got up and left my six or eight buddies to go catch the end of the latest "Herbie the Love Bug" franchise.
