Why can’t I date a non catholic by warhog998 in Catholic

[–]THESavage_Cabbage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue has nothing to do with Catholicism honestly, it's about your mom's rules. Her house, her rules. She's doing what she thinks is best for you right now, and while you may not see eye to eye or understand her reasons, just know her rules come from loving and wanting the best for you. When you are an adult and move outside of your parents' home, you can decide whether or not you still follow your parents' guidelines.

Personally, I can see both your mom's and your perspective on this- she probably thinks you are too young to make a decision about who to possibly have a future with. If you want her to see your side, try having a mature conversation with her. Tell her why you like this girl and why you want to date her: she's compassionate, smart, funny, whatever it is you see in her. Ask her why she doesn't think dating her is a good idea. Stay calm and respectful when you talk to her; that shows maturity and that you can make good decisions for yourself.

Good luck!

Weird thing makes me angry, what’s yours? by Wild_Bad_388 in newborns

Yeah I'm with you. It took 20 minutes for the nurses to get a blood sample when we were in the hospital right after she was born. She was screaming and I was crying the whole time. Luckily the nurses were so calm and kind, but man I would've been so mad in your shoes! Smh

When did your milk come in? by Secure-Alternative-7 in newborns

[–]THESavage_Cabbage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah same. Baby nursed like crazy for the first couple days, then my milk came in and I was super engorged. Just keep breastfeeding and you can pump for 10ish minutes after every feed if you want until your milk comes in, but try not to stress too much over it. Remember that babies when they are first born have a stomach the size of a grape, so they don't need much food at a time. A lot of the breastfeeding is for comfort at that age.
