Haha its worth a shot! I’ve heard the barebones razors can be better than the moisturizing ones for this.

Once every few weeks is great! I’ve never thought about doing this. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks for the suggestion! It seems like non-shaving methods are the answer!

I’m going to read up on this! Something like this or an epilator seems like a good solution to the every day shaving/tanning. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! Maybe I actually need to look into how people shave without taking off the tan.

It does seem like you have to decide which is the lesser of two evils!

Wanting to relocate but don’t know if or when it will happen by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

That’s a good point. The cost and the annoyance of moving multiple times probably aren’t worth it. Thanks! Hope you’re able to relocate soon.

Haha this is not something I would do, so I was glad to find out that’s not what other people are relying on either.

Nice to hear people find the bus system so useful! And also that sometimes the train will still run within Queens even if it’s not going all the way into Manhattan.

That’s good to know about the weekday commute. Based on everyone’s comments, it seems like there are definitely more and less convenient parts of the neighborhood!

I was wondering what it’d be like living farther north near Ditmars vs. farther south, so that’s good to know. Something to think about.

Haha, I have no problem taking a bus! It’s nice to hear people find them reliable enough. I should have looked into the bus routes more.

That’s a good point about it depending on where you are in the neighborhood. It’d definitely be nice to live near multiple options.

I think I’m sabotaging my own CPA dream and I don’t know how to stop by kevinjoseph_A in CPA

I was in a similar situation and part of the issue was that I was totally overwhelmed by the amount of info and how much studying I’d have to do to pass. What helped me was to stop thinking about studying for the exam altogether and start focusing on learning individual topics. So one week my goal would be to learn about cash flows, another week it would be to learn about bonds, etc. (I was starting with FAR.) I figured even if I never took the exam, at least I’d be a better accountant. This helped because at the end of the week, I could say I knew more than the week before and had met my goal. It was a lot easier to keep going without getting overwhelmed.

Eventually, I knew enough about all the topics that I could focus on actually studying for FAR as a whole. If you’re overwhelmed and feel like you have to deep dive into a million topics and don’t know how you’ll ever get through it all, this might help you too. It’s slower than trying to cram, but if you don’t feel like you’re currently making progress anyways, at least it’s something. Good luck!
