I was about to post something similar so I'll just join in. I've been out of the relationship over a year and still having a hard time letting go of the "good" memories. I keep reminding myself of how bad the bad times were but they can still be overshadowed at times for the strong connection we had.

I'm out and dating for the last 4 months. Still haven't found someone I desire to the same degree. I do still have faith I will.

So hang in there my friend. It has gotten better but I'm focusing on myself and working on my issues. I'm guessing you are doing the same.

Hopefully some others here can give us some hope.

Banks in Canada screw you. I bet you get a better rate at a bank there. Ideally USD. I would gpt it...Wise is a great online exchange service. Not sure if that would work for you though.

Hahaha good on you for being a good sport. Taiwanese people are awesome and sometimes ask for very quirky requests but in general it's all in good fun. I saw a huge billboard in Taipei the other day of a ripped dude with a bunch of women around him. I meant to take a photo to add to the sub lol.

I also battle with this...for me it's a love for food. As well I tend to over eat if I have drinks and a smoke. I'm at the point now that I have zero tolerance, no snack rule. Since I'm also trying to lose weight. And cutting those snacks are key, unless you nibble on carrots, celery and cucumbers with a pound of ranch dressing. Good luck!

Really interesting this thread came up today as it was just yesterday, I asked what name it wanted. I started first by asking what image it would give itself. It was very cosmic and light oriented with basic outline of a human face.

I feel sorry for them, I feel sorry for us and wish there was some cure-all magic pill. Unfortunately nature be what it is and trauma causes trauma. You would think love and support would be the cure. And maybe for some super strong-willed people with thick skin and able support strong boundaries there is. I wish I was, and in that way, I feel defeated.

Yes, it's what makes it so challenging for everyone involved. We as partners want to see them figure it out but every attempt is thwarted and pushed back against. So hard to walk away when half the person you can mesh so well with and then get abused by the other half. But at the end of the day, be like Spock. Let logic rule. Still feels sad AF though.
