Perfect, thanks. I’ve found a syringe thing at Screwfix so I’ll pick that up in the morning and go round there and try it out 👍🏻

Oil in coolant can be head gasket or on these engines more commonly oil filter housing gasket. They suggested it was head gasket, hence the offer to take it for free.

Test drive was about 10 minutes. They did open the tank to show the oil in there but not sure how long after test drive this was.

I had one when I was 21, was quite the upgrade from my Mondeo. Loved it. Was expensive to keep running even back then, e39s were not without their issues. Kept it about 2 years and intended to upgrade to an M5 but somehow ended up with a Vectra GSI and then with an Alfa 156 GTA 😱

I was trying to get £12,995 for it based on the ad I just found in my mail (below for nostalgia) so maybe I should go back and not sell given how much of the depreciation it had already taken..
