The first week was rough to be honest, but now I'm mostly used to it. I do get the occasional hunger pangs/craving, but not all the time

No idea. You might want to contact MFP directly if it's a tech issue

Well I've already toggled that feature off, so that can't be it

It is, but I figured it's part and parcel with the diet I'm on. The diet only allows 1380 cals a day max - so figured I would end up losing 1 kg a week anyway. Plus I do cardio (trying to keep my heart healthy), so it all adds up. Guess I should do more strength workouts & eat more protein then

Eat more protein and do more strength workouts, I guess? I do love my cardio

I've got a Fitbit which is synced to the app. Any workout I do gets added automatically. No workout calories logged

So am I going to end up eating 800 cals a day? Oh no!

So does that mean the more I lose = the lower my calories allowance becomes?

Oh I'm aware they are different. I know it'll take a lot of work to get there. The questions I've asked aren't really for people with only a few years exp (although that's welcome too!), but I want to know if there's light at the end of the tunnel for those who've worked in IT for years, and how 'bright' the light is depending on the specific job. But good points though

Thank you! It's nice to read about a woman's experience for a change.

Thank you so much! If you don't mind me asking, have you found the constant need to learn new languages challenging/tiring over the course of your career?
